The rush to Political Correct…

Yeah it is offensive.  But it is there right to be ignorant.   Yeah I get it.  But rather find obtuse angles at attacking President Trump,  do something but whine.  Whining doesn’t feed children.   Whining doesn’t win anything.

On CNN, Don Lemon was chatting with Morgan Freeman.  Don asked Freeman about racism and Morgan said, “stop talking about it”.  When we impower any kind of bigotry, the bigot wins.   I remmber on Mayor in D.C.

The racism we ignore

“Marion Barry’s mouth set him up. The disgraced former mayor of Washington, DC, who was caught on tape in a 1987 crack cocaine sting, made an even bigger disgrace of himself and his city on Tuesday. Celebrating a Democratic primary victory, the city councilman attacked small businesses owned by “Asians” in his district. Then the race-baiting clown doubled down”.

Barry told supporters in DC’s Ward 8: “We got to do something about these Asians coming in and opening up businesses and dirty shops. They ought to go.” Once pushed out, Barry promised, he would replace the foreign invaders with “African-American business people.”

He then took to Twitter to expound on the perils of “dirty” Asian shops in his neighborhood. Barry posted photos of supposedly hazardous stores — including Chinese restaurants surrounded not by trash or toxic waste, but by Plexiglas barriers and reinforced doors.

He explained that Asian-owned businesses that had the audacity to protect themselves from crime were “lowering standards” in his constituents’ communities.

Crazy Barry doesn’t just need another round of rehab. He needs a reality check.

As a commenter on noted, 2010 Census data showed that “Asians made up 0.4 percent of the Ward 8 population. . . If anything, Asians are moving out, not in — the Asian population decreased 13.6 percent . . . between 2000 and 2010.”

Most of us remember Martin Luther King and that tragic day.  MLK day is great, but we only pay lip service to that day.  In many cities statues and MLK Blvd are situated in blighted neighbor hoods.  PC people get real.  Former-President Obama payed lip service to helping people feel better.    Rather than focus on idiots, we prefer to sticks and Stones.

In Burkburnette Texas, I often played with blacks (Across the steet from blacks).  We played and got dirty ane one day this black kid call me a #Peckerwood.   A kid who was playing with us in an ash pile told that kid to leave me alone.   Kids I think get it. My own mom lived in a vacuum,  but that was rectified.   I have a  two black nephews.

One day my own mother seen that ‘those people” are us. She got presents for the one nephew and she had to be fair to him.   He loves my  mother and always wants to stay overnight with her.   My niece married a black guy.   That is their baby.  We live to learn.  So what’s up with people? Right.

My Aunt and Uncle adopted a kid (who was black).   Joel Stephens was an 5-star recuit at Syracuse.   A reporter asked about  his “black brother”.  Joel said,  “he is not my  black brother, he is my brother”.    Unity matters.  Faith Matters.  Cancer sucks.

Joel Stephens.

One night our dad was dropping the F-word at supper and all five of us went off on him. We lived in upstate NY.  A side note, Joel died at 22 with a rare form of Cancer.  Joel was a Christian.  He thanked God for his cancer! Huh? Great faith there. The owner of the Baltimore Orioles told the the Stephens family medical bills.  He even has a Joel Stephens Day.  But back to the event with our dad.  No one instilled us with bigotry.   We respected our friends and we did appreciate that bigots are going to do what they do.  My preference is to avoid such stupidity. And like Morgan Freeman said to stop talking about it.  Lemon was shocked.

We do NOT empower bigots. We politely consider the source.  Fighting over this,  just sustains the offending party, but ignoring them enough, they just go away.  That is not the take-away point. We need to respect each other.  See each other as friends, not hyphenating names but realizing the great potential of all of us.   Character Matters.

Emily already

The movement of TD Emily will be influenced by a Southeast moving Cold Front.  And that is the biggest question, where and when?  Emily will follow the front and any slowing will slow down Emily.

The moving parts are a bit complex.    The cold front will pass over the next few hours and then Emily.   But anything slowing the front will complicate the picture.  The 500mb Hgt Falls are not dramatic but after some digging southward the biggest falls are along the Eastern Coast and it would follow those Hgt Falls.

It can only go so far Westward before invariably turning N/E.   There will be some strengthening in the Atlantic but after a while it will becoming a Tropical Depression once again.

Watch South Florida – Tropcial System?

The art of Forecasting is a sort existential nihilism,  in the minds of stage scientists.   They can’t expound on the tropics,  because many don’t know where the tropics are.   And even if they do,  it is a dog and pony show.

Secretly they pine for the drama.  Standing in the middle of a windy,  flooding town, they declare what some weather computer model might suggest.  With over 70 different nodes of information,  it is like finding needle in a haystack.

The strength and movement of a storm is so important because FEMA needs to be on the alert and Home Depot is readying for the onset of bad weather.

Catastrophic events that will last a lifetime.   The tears of families and the heartbreak of where they can go now.  But let’s forget about stagecraft.  Right now there is circulation over and near Ft Myers and up to Tampa.    The circulation means nothing by itself. And should this system gather steam and move into the Gulf of Mexico,  then that might be  that big story.  Like Clark Kent and Lois Lane,  the first to take notice gets the big lead.

At this time,  there is not much to take note of.  Careful scrutiny and the imagination that is required in forecasting.   Not some Bill Nye the Science Guy, opining on what he thinks can add.   Anyhow,  keep abreast of what comes next…

The land is a very hard environment for storms to begin not alone becoming a Hurricane.   We’ll see…

Here We Go Again. Tropical Weather

The meat and potatoes of forecasting, during the Spring and Summer.  HEAT!!! Yes, those thunderstorms,  rainshowers and flooding are terrifying!  However an astonishing number of vulnerable people die in situations where family members leave the aged,  kids and pets to die.  Image you that guilt and to know, you did it.   You did it

Heatstroke Deaths of Children in Vehicles

719 children left in vehicles have died of heatstroke since 1998.
All of these deaths could have been prevented.

It ain't the heat, it's the humility. - Yogi Berra

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. - Harry S Truman

It is a criminal act.  It is selfish,  short-sighted and sad.   How could you rationalize it?  Tell that to the couple who can’t have kids.  Tell that to the elderly,  whose time is expedited by foolish idiots and their carelessness.  No amount of tears justify it.   Imagine you dying a painful death, the same way, your family or pets.

Pets are like family.  You did it.  Can you live with the heart-break? You can’t take back lives. It is done!

Feeling Like a Rock!

I am feeling like an avalanche coming.    The smallest tremor to set me off.  Don’t get me wrong,  I am not considering any self-harm, to me or to others.  The shadows are coming again,  slowly,  but steadily.  One or two  of these are in ‘living color’.  Shadows of doubt,  panic attacks, like a Tsunami.   I hear the roar,  waters that creep and fill me,  with pains of high and Low Tides.

I have thought of my new name.  Do you like it? It was pretty racist to behold.  I have shanks of poetry,  misplaced grammar and enough hubris to weigh me down.  But rather I wish to find a copper coin.  I wish to elucidate,  on a lily pad called destiny.  I want to pick away the burrs.  To the Longfellow chaps.   I want to find a nuance and let it work for all of us.  Not a twenty and definitely not a line for ghouls.  I want to make mince meat into pies.  Not lines of craters nor lines of white.  I wish to find… and destroy it.  I wish for them to grow.  Not in some rusty hole.  I pray that these come to pass.

It is the dawn of anxiety,  I see my head floating downstream.  Portable Sinkholes,  elaborating,  roiling downward,  and making life ‘like a buoy’, a respite from the darkest downs.

A song, a note,   reveries with plumb lines,  like spider webs twisted.  Sometimes the emotions are overwrought, with their own insanity, glossed over but not forgotten.  Let us play harpsichords and twing a violin.  Let’s stop the wrong kind of thing.  Planting history with falling leaves.

Moribund< out of touch.

There is a false dichotomy spreading across this nation.  Rather than bridging the abyss, the ravine grows colder,  deeper and in disrepair.  Mountains rumble, at  loss.  Time is suspended.   The cloudy white milk pours from deciduous pine trees, while hawks lurk high above in their rarefied air,  sending out notice, to prey.

Fear not the rain, nor the  poles, nor the mighty storms at sea.  They drain and sustain creating rivulets and rivers, of disparaging diversity.    Conditional causes, which do not change matter, but subverts it.  Hollowing trees, scattering bees and bees being boarders in their own land.  baby102

We walk a tight rope and swing from literal AND LIBERAL vines.  We have no time for childish dreams, yet we are the epitome of games and rancor.  We flourish with pens,  inks and blotters, we stutter with jurisprudence.

My own odyssey was  Quixotic.  It started out with being sequestered in a Mental Hospital in Raleigh,  NC.   That lasted about eight days.  The reason for the visit to the ER was a Major Seizure Attack.  The adventure had morphed into a kind of confinement,  a suggestion of mental entanglement.  Upon release, I contacted the hospital and with swift hyperbole,  I mounted their unilateral conjecture,  into a scathing injunction to repartee with a patient.   I MADE MY POINT.  Essentially  saying, “do not condescend to me and patients alike”.

I may again at some time during the next couple of weeks.  For right now,  more terrible blogs,   for you to enjoy and me to destroy.   Peace.

My Mental Hospital Experience!

This was surely not any agenda of mine, being nullified in expression and seemingly nullified physically.   Near midnight,  I started to have these monstrous seizures.  I probably should have waited this out.  But destiny had other plans in mind. But as I arose to pack for the ER,  I fell.   Many items came down with me.  My corpulent cat was hiding behind the dresser and came out to see how I was.

She has an innate ability to discern disturbances that are emotional and physical.   Her support was at a safe distance.    Alternating paroxysms further enhanced my trepidation and Paramedics offering commands that I could not execute.  When I was aboard, the screaming sirens and ministrations of First Responders, further causing my bafflement.

At the ER,  I was given Atavan to diminish my distress,  moved to a triage area, which must be a kind of waiting room. for the insane,  I guess.   As I arrived there, I became a bit more lucid and a lot more dubious of my condition.  Long story short, the Doctor sent shivers down my spine as I was advised that I could volunteer or be induced too, with athe involuntary fate, much worse for the wear.

Arriving at the hospital,  I remarked to the person at the desk,  that this is surely a jail and he consolingly implied,  that it was not.   I was in fact,  diminished,  limited and just wondering what had happened.

After my entrance,  into the umbilical tether of mental health,  I felt lost.  Like Air Force Basic Training, sans shoe laces and a shave.   Once the skin check,  non-invasive but no less obtrusive, I donned medical garb,  we all have the grasp of that situation.  Flowing rhetoric and mindfulness.

I am sure that my consternation did not make my accommodations any less Bohemian.   A full-sized bed,  with a relatively thin mattress.  The rooms were bare but really clean and er, safe.    After making the bed sleep worthy,  I fell into a fitful sleep,  garnering about 40ish minutes of more slanderous slumber.

Then at 6:30AM,  I thought I was reliving the aforementioned basic training.  One guy in the food line,  kept raising his hands (one-at-a time) high into the air.  His bunk-mates seemed to pay him no mind,  but new admit-tents were a bit shocked .

Okay the food was decent and rooms clean.  Groups were fairly well run, and actually did gather some useful tips,  with ersatz coffee,  blended and roasted.  As the days passed,  my bewilderment slackened and it was kind of fun.   However, at each crisis, I was becoming more aware at this dichotomy of egress and a curfew of 11PM.   Felt like something didn’t quite fit and yet,  helping others muddle through.

I guess the therapist’s notes, saying my intelligence was very high, was a temporal aphrodisiac,  in a place where spoons doubled as knives and shoes strings were sublimated into lashes.  I did all that I needed,  in the first day.  I actively participated, and read books like a magic carpet ride.  I negotiated around the titular gendarmes and picayune rules meant for us all.  A few dust-ups and a litany of users, getting methadone and other meds.

In the end,  my regular Psych was baffled why I was in there, in the first place.   I pleaded with the ER,  that the information for the Epilepsy and so-called Bi-polar (Manic) congealed and morphed into a misdiagnosis.   When freedom rang,  I pushed for expediency,  with shoes tethered tight,  my personal belongings that were sequestered, in twin bags.   In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, “So, it goes”.   Inside,  we were lodged into a Miasma, with my name on  it.  Now,  I was emancipated with croons and cries and a  bit of dishevelment to boot.

Every One has hope.

“There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart’s desire. The other is to gain it.”
George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman

All of us suffer.  No one escapes the ‘rusty knife’ that captures one and all.

By the same token, we all experience joy and rectitude.  Displaying our trophies, to our friends and forgiving others and then ourselves.   We spin our tapestries with silk and cotton.  We suffer pestilences with those we are in love with.   We also love obediently.   We share and accept gifts.  We pay others with intangibles and hope, even as we are beset by storms.

We shine our cars til rust, ever-after.    Our shuttered habitats. A shrine. A home, a sanctuary.   Shuttered by real tears and rent fabric.  Man-made and otherwise.

Like children at Christmas, we unwrap our presents, expectant hearts and joyful interludes.  We all suffer and laugh concurrently..

We are planning a couple of things. One is a PR campaign for Morissette Amon.  Not Alanis BTW.  Secondly,  purchasing a motel to house homeless Veterans,  giving them a safe and non-judgmental place to live.

When Women Are Victimized and Misogyny.

You know,  I am sick of this.  I am sick of there being a problem and then swept under the rug.   Case #1 ,  another alleged sexual assault at a North Carolina University.   That place of higher education,  has recorded yet another case of REPORTED sexual assault AND it was at a school atop of reported events!

The ‘body of work’,   both rhetorical and actual,  perpetuate misogyny.   And then the sentences are a joke.  The latest perp, is an athlete.   I know,  I know,  who’d have expected that, right?

And this,  coming upon the heals of two major stories at Vanderbilt and Stanford respectively..    The Vanderbilt case,  is especially heinous,  as it IS a hate crime.  And after the raping,  he asserted to the victim,  that slavery is an alibi, 400 years of slavery that is.

It gets worse.   He then urinated upon the co-ed. With these extenuating circumstances,  he gets 15 years!   It seemed as this judge was more concerned, with the rapist’s prospects after release than the horror and degradation of the poor victim.  And you know that he will get leeway and an early termination of incarceration!

His name,   by the way.  Cory Baty.  The Judge:   Monte Watkins..   Be sure to comment or send an email to that Judge.  (POS).

Case Two:   A miserable POS (

Listen to the account of the Victim!   This is heart-breaking!

Stanford rape survivor’s letter to her attacker 03:56

(CNN)Widespread outrage has erupted over a California judge’s decision to give a former Stanford University swimmer a six-month jail sentence for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. Critics are blasting the decision as far too lenient.

I will let you listen to her story.  I am shaking mad,  even still.   Sad to be male and that I might make her fearful of me.   Even so,  it is important to internalize this!  six months to 90 days?!   Brock,  screw your dad and yourself!    And then ‘daddy pooh’ is all supportive! Screw him as well.   He stated that his son will be hurt for 20 minutes of bad behavior. Look at what your’ son did.    He can never repay that debt. Ever!!

But in a statement on Monday, Rosen stopped short of calling for Persky’s ouster.
“While I strongly disagree with the sentence that Judge Persky issued in the Brock Turner case, I do not believe he should be removed from his judgeship,” Rosen said. “I am so pleased that the victim’s powerful and true statements about the devastation of campus sexual assault are being heard across our nation. She has given voice to thousands of sexual assault survivors.”
CNN calls to Turner’s defense attorney, Mike Armstrong, were not returned Monday.

In another semi-related event.   This happened back a few years ago.   But injustice,  misogyny and ambivalence coalesce into a dirge of acrimony.  A woman who faced a trial,  re-raped in court,  and with a long comment by her,  that went unheeded.

As to the case, of a truant girl,  I sit here in apoplexy.   Make an example of an innocent girl.   But I will let you take this in.

So,  let me think,  Diane was being a good girl and yet had to face this, as a responsible young adult and under stress.     Ok, she got a respite with all those donations.

Everbody Wants to Rule the World.

In our nascent days as people,  we stood for liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  We also had churches dictating the position that we could have sex.   To achieve that end,  government and religion would invaribly have to be voyeurs as well.    It seems to me,  the government has too many bigger issues to worry about,  than consensual play between consulting adults.

“The onset of mania occurs when when repression is no longer able to resist the assaults of the repressed instincts.”

Karl Abraham

More importantly we do not take the time to listen,   but we judge and assume too many things.   Most of which, are not true.   We try to find a witch to burn and are amazed when some or many, sing in acapella.  About the differences from one life to another.

“Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don’t stand in the doorway
Don’t block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled”

We can’t quite figure it out and rather than to leave people alone,  we enact new laws that restrict people, from the right, to the pursuit of their own happiness.

In fifty years,  most of us will be long gone and those laws,  like their effectiveness,  will serve no purpose.   Agreeably,  there is a need to restrict certain ‘illegal’ behaviors,  but for all the billions we spend on foster children and child welfare,  there are still homeless and abused children, with social workers who live  comfortably, but still no safe place for said children to live.

The legislators and moralists preach restraint.  One codifies the law, to enforce their causes and the other a moral platitude, that never can be met.  Today, the hippies of generations past,  are lawyers, judges and preachers.  They tell young adults, that they can’t drink until they are 21,  as if that arbitrary number actually does save lives.

Or preachers who are popping young women,  driving off bridges and telling us,  that God dissaproves,  of what we are doing.   Memo to the Elmer Gantys of the world, we know what you are doing and did do, when you were young.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin’
Please get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin’

One Tin Soldier

Like the BDSM community,  who regulate their own,  and there are those who are those people who are out there, who are true sadists, who give the lot of them, a bad name.  But moreover,  the doms are very compassionate of their charges and ask them (subs/slaves) what are the limits. Most really do care!  They love their people and hate those who do not follow the rules of that community.

At stake is the very existence of their lifestyle,  who to the outsider,  does seem bizarre.  But being bizarre is not a crime and the participants do volunteer and their bosses, make sure, that the verbal contract, is not breached.

Remember: this is not about you: parents and friends.

This is about the beauty of life an the indescribable joy of self-satisfaction.
